GLAZIARRAK AGURTZEN

Taking advantage of 2025 being the International Year for Glacier Conservation, “Glaziarrak agurtzen” is a transmedia project created in collaboration with Euskal Telebista. This four-episode series, each lasting twenty minutes, aims to raise awareness about the disappearance of glaciers, which are at risk of vanishing forever due to the climate emergency.

Guided by glaciologist Eñaut Izagirre Estibalitz, we will visit some of the most spectacular surviving glaciers: Infiernos, Perdido, Aneto, and Vignemale. Viewers will embark on a journey through the most breathtaking corners of the Pyrenees, but from a completely new perspective. Thanks to cutting-edge virtual technology and augmented reality, every detail of the Pyrenean landscapes will be analyzed with remarkable precision.

The project takes a fully cross-platform approach. In addition to being available on the Primeran platform, specially created segments will be broadcast during the weather reports on ETB 1 and ETB 2. Furthermore, the digital news outlet Orain will feature short-form content designed for social media, incorporating the latest aesthetic trends and a fast-paced, engaging narrative.
