DASTATTOO

Dastattooo is a two-season food series that travels across the Basque Country from a different perspective, stepping into its kitchens and, above all, getting to know the people behind them.

The first season is hosted by Maialen Caballero, Mai, a professional tattoo artist who visits eight top-level restaurants, including Garena, Zárate, Mendigoikoabe and R. The concept is based on an exchange between two worlds: the chefs prepare their best dishes for her, while Mai comes up with a tattoo design inspired by each encounter. It is a way to discover their cuisine, but also their stories and a more personal side of who they are. And one question remains: will they dare to get the tattoo?

In the second season, Mikel Aginagalde, Aginowsky, takes over as host and brings a fresh perspective to the format. In addition to visiting restaurants such as Salegi, in Itziar, he also explores other places connected to Basque food culture, including the K5 winery in Aia, broadening the world of the series and giving it a new rhythm and personality.

Two seasons, two hosts and two different perspectives through which to discover Basque gastronomy by meeting the people at its heart.
