Nosotras, mujeres de Euskalduna

The struggle of women during the closure of Euskalduna

TYPE
Documentary

YEAR
2016

In 2016, Begira produced, in collaboration with Zinebi, the International Festival of Documentary and Short Films of Bilbao, the feature-length documentary NOSOTRAS, MUJERES DE EUSKALDUNA.

The film, directed by Larraitz Zuazo, portrays the struggle of a group of women around the closure of the Euskalduna shipyard. The recovery of this story paves the way for a reflection on collective memory and feminism.

A notable aspect of this project is the demanding nature of its production (one of the shooting days required closing the Deusto bridge to traffic) and the dedicated team involved.
